Last weekend, was one of those weekends that you just kind-of “do what you want.” We don’t have many like that, so it’s so nice when it happens. There were a few markets in our area that I wanted to attend, so Saturday morning we loaded the girl’s up for a day of outdoor shopping (at least that was the plan when we left the house!).
We wanted to have lunch at Pei Wei (One of my ALL time favorites! We ate there once a week back when we had no kids and lived in Dallas.) So, our first stop was at the Indie Arts and Vintage Marketplace. It was right next door to Pei Wei. I had considered being a vendor at this show, but decided I had too much going on. A few of my friends were there…
Nikki, The Vintage Farmhouse, had a trunk that would have gone perfectly in the girl’s room. The price was great, but I had promised my husb that I wouldn’t buy anything. “We are just going to walk around and say hello to some people.” Note to self, next time just say you want to go. Period.
Jackie from Shambora Studios was there with all her fabulous ReLoved inventory!
And I chatted with Sasha, from Resytled, for a few minutes. {I’m LOVING my Chalk Paint (TM)!}
I asked the girl’s to take a quick picture…
And game on! They wanted to take pictures with all the merchandise. 🙂
M suggested we buy this fish. It would be amazing in the right space, but didn’t quite fit in with my current decor.
After lunch, the plan was to head to Noblesville, IN for their Old Mill on the square, but the girls had other plans.
“We are close to the zoo, can we PLEASE go!!”
It was one of those weekends, so we said sure…”Just for a little while.”
A little while turned into hours, because it was such a pretty day and we were having so much fun.
We splurged and bought tickets for the Dora 4D show. I have to admit, it was pretty amazing. Complete with smell-o-vision, moving seats and spraying water.
There was also a new bird exhibit. I loved looking at the birds, but having them nose dive toward my head, was not on my list of fun for the day.
Finished the day with a carousel ride.
Sunday it warmed up enough for the pool. I HATE swimsuits, a necessary evil. Target has a new line of suits by Spanx, AaaaMAZing! Tucks, slims and hides! OH, and they are completely afforable. I so wish I would have gotten one of these earlier. The style is very vintage, classic Hollywood. You know the kind that looks sort-0f like a dress (Sorry, but you will not be getting a picture of me in it! 😉 )
So what’s on your agenda for this upcoming weekend!?

Yes, should have bought. I love sales like that and my husband is definitely not a huge fan.

Jealous that you guys are not stuck wearing tank tops and shorts 24/7. Wish we could still wear sleeves.
