I don’t know about you, but I am SO ready for spring. I can’t complain too much because this has been the mildest weather since I’ve lived in Indiana… but this Texas girl loves her warm weather! 😉 It has been in the 60’s for about a week and the heat is off in the house, windows are open (when it’s not raining), and I’m dreaming of nights spent out on the deck by a fire.
There is something so beautiful about the start of spring…I think it’s the feeling I have of a new beginning. We are able to get back outside and my creativity, that has been lacking during the winter months, seems to pick back up. OH the possibilities that come with the changing season!
I’ve started to transition some of my living room decor and thought I would share with you a few of my favorite things. I like to add a little bit of color this time of year, in the form of pillows and plants.
I added a few teal pillows to the couch and replaced some of the heavier blankets with lighter throws.
White and off-white are still my favorite colors to incorporate. Adding in pillows with texture are so much more interesting!
I can’t get enough of these Agate crystals. I found a set of bookends for my built-in shelves and the teal pillow even has one as an embellishment! The colors are perfect for spring.
It’s always a good idea to bring in natural elements, am I right?!? A couple of wooden candlesticks and fresh, store bought flowers are the finishing touches.
Here’s a breakdown of where I found everything:
Rope Pillow: Target
Teal and Crystal Pillow: Target from a year ago
Candle Sticks, Agate bookends and battery operated candles: HomeGoods
Blanket: Ikea
Flowers: Trader Joe’s….my FAVORITE place for fresh flowers
What are some elements you will be incorporating into your decor this spring? I’d love to know your thoughts! Also, be sure to check back next week to see my spring living room with these elements incoporated.

Meg, I got them from Kirkland’s but I don’t think they have them anymore. Here are some similar ones: https://www.unexpectedelegance.com/shop-my-house/ Just click on the chairs and it will take you to a link. Thanks!! 🙂
