You all know that I love to have people over to my house…It’s one of the many reasons I love blogging, because it gives me the opportunity to do what I love more often.  There’s something about opening up my home to friends and family that brings me so much joy, and I get to share a little part of myself with someone else. I really don’t like the word “entertaining” because I think when we have people into our homes WE should be a part of everything and not behind the scenes.  Entertaining to me sounds more like you are putting on a show for your guests.

  Simplicity is the key to enjoying your time with your friends during a get-together at your home.  The menu doesn’t have to be complicated and the decor can minimal.

When you make things simple you can sit down, enjoy yourself and invest in the lives of the people you have invited into your home.

Use store bought food, if you don’t have time to prepare a big meal.    You can make everything still look pretty, no mater how long it took for you to throw together.   Decorative paper towels can add a pop of color to your table and the best part…you don’t have to wash them after the meal!
