This past weekend was a bit of a back braker! We spent ALL day Saturday and Sunday laying a paver patio and fire pit. I can honestly say that it’s the most sore I’ve been in a very long time. (I woke up Sunday and my hands hurt to open!)
We rented the major equipment to aide us in our en devour (we might have gotten more than we bargained for!). The sod cutter was a beast.  We got through two rows and then thought we broke it. We rented it from our local Do-It Center and they were AWESOME. They came out and ended up doing it for us. That wasn’t the plan, but he did the whole thing in about 10 minutes. (I can’t imagine a big home improvement store doing that.)
To be honest, there were a few times I cried a little. It felt very overwhelming, especially after it took probably an hour to lay one row of pavers. It’s not completely level, but the water drains away from the house. I had also envisioned a much larger space, but I’m happy about the change in the plan and I think it’s just right.
We have some landscaping left to do, but it’s getting there.
Keepin’ it real…we had a mess inside and out! 😉
Don’t forget about my giveaway. All you have to do, is share my post! 🙂
