It’s hard to believe that we are already through the 4th week of the One Room Challenge!?! This week I’m grateful to partner with Joss and Main and transform our concrete patio into a great place for dining.
If you missed the previous weeks, you can check them out here:
Do you remember what this area looked like before? ↓
It’s amazing what a rug and table can accomplish, isn’t it? We have always had a table under the pergola, but I love having it right outside the doors to the kitchen.
It’s making me rethink how we have the other furniture set up. I have a completely open area under the pergola now!
TIP: Use a large outdoor rug to cover cracked concrete on a patio.
I have hated this expansive concrete pad since we bought our house, but changing it hasn’t been an option. I should have bought a rug years ago because I couldn’t be happier with this Starlight Geometric Brown Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug to cover up most of the ugly, gray, cracked concrete!
The table is the Rockefeller 3 Piece Dining Set and I love that it came with two benches. The benches tuck under the table when we aren’t using them, to save space.
There’s still room on the ends for chairs, so if we ever need space for more people we can pull out our old chairs from the shed.
Moving the table onto the concrete has made a huge difference in how we enjoy our outdoor space and we’ve been having dinner out here (when it isn’t raining).
I’ve already started making a few other changes to this area…there’s a hint in the photo above.↑ I’ll be sharing more on those changes and what I’m doing to the shed next week.
You can find the following weeks here: WEEK 5&6 | WEEK 7 | WEEK 8
