To be honest, I am struggling to find motivation. My house is still pretty bare. I have a long list of to-do’s and an even longer list of want-to-do’s!
But…I know I’ll find it soon. It seems this time every year I have little motivation to do anything “extra.” Maybe it’s the weather, who knows?
Last week, we moved my two year old into her sister’s room. This allows me to have my very own space!! It will be my office/craft room and my head is swimming with options. I have a few weeks to get all my left over craft show “stuff” out of the guest room and into my new office, before the wave of company will start arriving.
I know a lot of you make New Year’s resolutions. I have never really made resolutions but at the start of every year I make mental lists of things I would like to get accomplished. This year I have decided to make a conscious effort to take better care of myself.
Of course, I would like to loose some weight, but I am thinking about all the little things I have let slide. Before kids, I went to the salon at lot more (now I go about every 5-6 month, sad I know!). One thing I have never really done, is learn the art of applying makeup and that is what I’m going to do!!! You might be laughing at me know, but I am a little excited.
I found a blog called TiffanyD: One girl’s thoughts to all thing beauty that I have absolutely fallen in love with. The other night I probably spent a few hours watching her videos.
If you are at all interested in beauty products, I would suggest checking out Tiffany’s blog. So there it is…my New Year’s “decision.â€Â  Today I might not be back in the swing of home improvement, but I have found the motivation to take care of myself.
What are your “decisions” of the new year?

The decision to take better care of ourselves in the new year, including a focus on self-care like weight loss and learning to apply makeup, reflects a common theme of New Year’s solutions. I need to take care of my college tasks, so I searched for online resources, and I found https://edubirdie.net/ that proves that we all can find help. The mention of discovering a beauty blog, TiffanyD, and spending time watching videos shows a proactive effort to explore new interests and enhance personal well-being.
