The past few years, I have shared how my family did the 25 Days of Giving in the month of December. This year, we didn’t practice this in the same way. I still think it is a great thing to do as a family, but I wasn’t on my game at the beginning of December and let too many days go by before I was even able to think about catching up. I sat down one afternoon to list out the 25 ways we would give to others this month and felt a little tug that it wasn’t as necessary this year.
I think the difference is the whole concept has taken root in our family. That was my hope when we started it three years ago. I wanted it to become something we did and practiced year round…without all the thought and preparation. My girls have embraced the concept of helping others and throughout the past year we really practiced giving as a family on a regular basis. Not to say next year we won’t do the 25 Days of Giving again, because it is a lot of fun!
I think this song is one of my favorites this Christmas and I wanted to share it with you.
“It’s funny how it takes a holiday
To show us how the world could truly change
If we all took the time to really care
There’d be a little more of heaven everywhere”
How true are those word!
The next few days are going to quiet around here. My parents are visiting for a while and we will just be hanging out, eating and going to church.
Have a great weekend!!!
Hugs,
Angela

Carol, I’m not exactly sure of the font, but “Peach Sundress” looks very similar. Here’s a link to download it: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=peach+sundress.
