The New Year has brought with it record breaking temps, here in Indiana!! School has been cancelled for three days now because the roads are pretty much sheets of ice. We got over a foot of snow and have had more negative degree days than I would like to count. With it being so miserable outside, we have been staying put in our house and the heater hasn’t stopped running. (I’m a little afraid of what our bill is going to look like!) The upstairs stays the coziest, so I have been camped out here…
This room has been one of those “on-going, in progress” rooms. If you remember, I painted it some time ago–>HERE, June to be exact!
Well, today I thought I would show you the super easy artwork that I made for above my bed. It only took about 20 minutes. I got this idea from my friend, Jessica and her blog Stay at Home-ista! Her home is beyond fabulous, so be sure to check it out.
I found the antique frame at a flea market, painted the existing backing the same color as the walls and put a handmade paper over the top. The paper is beautiful!! I bought the paper from Kate’s Paperie. (It doesn’t look like they carry this design any longer, but there are some really beautiful papers still available!)
I finally found a dresser for the space and will hopefully (fingers crossed) be able to share it with you soon!
Stay warm, my friends!
