About a month ago, I had been driving around and saw a church yard sale. I LOVE yard sales, and I couldn’t help myself. When I walked up, I immediately spotted this beauty. (Alright, if we are going to be honest, it’s not that great!)
It was only $20 and I had been wanting to find something for an odd corner in my kitchen. I excitedly purchased it and hurried home. Upon arrival my husband did not seem near as excited as I was, but he helped me unload it and move it into the house. I had a small table in the place that the “new” cabinet would go, so I moved it temporarily into our living room…it’s still there, but I will talk about that later. It fit perfectly. The next day, I took some paint I had from some other projects and mixed it to make a blue-ish color. I removed all the hardware and then dry-brushed the paint on. You basically just get as much paint OFF the brush as possible.
When my husband got home the next day he told me that “it was a good thing you painted it, because the next time you left the house, it might have been gone!” Let’s just say he likes it A LOT better painted, as do I!
I’m trying to hide an old doggy door from the previous owners with the curtains…it’s not working too well. Any suggestions?
