I've learned a few things these past few weeks. 1.  Wear Gloves When Working With Metal: Last week I started working on my table and the zinc is pretty brutal stuff.  I am not the best at wearing protective gear.  Ironically I had a glove on, but unfortunately it was on the wrong hand!! This picture is of my finger a week after the "accident!" ;)  I didn't go to the hospital for stitches, and I have a feeling the skin will never be the same...lesson learned! 2.  Bolt Cutters Work Better ... I have a good friend who has been going through some really rough times.  The amount of stress and loss seems overwhelming and the trials just keep coming at her.  I have been praying for God's peace on her life, but I have felt very helpless.  She doesn't live close and I can't help in a tangible way. Fall Mantle 2011

We are having the most beautiful weather today!!  The girls and I spent a few hours at the park this afternoon and it was just the motivation I needed to switch out my mantle decor.  I am still liking the simple color pallet of the white mirrors, so I figured when something works...why change it?!?
