This Berry Smash Prosecco cocktail is refreshing, light and delicious!! It’s perfect for a brunch, dinner, or no occasion at all.
We are having the BEST weather here in Indiana. It has felt like spring for about a week now...even though we aren't quite finished with winter. It has everyone outside and I am so antsy for spring. So, what if we just pretend the great weather is here to stay and whip up a light and fun cocktail?
This Berry Smash Prosecco Cocktail is delicious and perfect for a simple brunch. I just went to the grocery store and got a few bakery items, fresh flowers and cocktail ingredients. In about an hour, I was ready for brunch.

For the Berry Smash Prosecco Cocktail, you will need: Ingredients:
- fresh berries (any variety)
- simple syrup (1/2 Cup of Sugar, 1/2 Cup of Water, bring to a boil, remove from heat, stir, and let cool. Chill until ready to use.)
- 1 Bottle of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
- ice
- optional: mint or rosemary to garnish
In a jar (with lid) muddle a small handful of berries. (You can use a spoon or fork.)
Next, add the simple syrup and ice. Shake the mixture well to infuse the berries and syrup.
Then add a few berries to a glass for serving.
Pour the berry syrup over the berries to fill the glass about a 1/3 full, then top off with Santa Margherita Prosecco.
Add a piece of mint or rosemary to garnish and serve!
This cocktail is my current favorite! It is light and perfect for just about any occasion. I like using wine in cocktails because it's a great way to make a quick drink with lots of flavors.
