Yay!! It is officially the Christmas season! This is by far my favorite holiday and this year I’ve changed up my decor, yet again. It started with a few boxes of vintage ornaments I found at an antique mall and grew from there.
I love the worn colors of the ornaments and the nostalgia. I wanted to call this years theme, A Vintage Christmas, but Scott claims “vintage” is way over used. He’s probably right! We actually have a little joke that when I say the word “vintage” he says “awesome!” He says it’s basically the same thing…not sure I agree with that one? And so, that’s were the title came from. {You’re now in on our joke!}
Some of you might remember the words on the tree. I made them a few years ago, and I like adding the graphic element. One of the reasons I love blogging so much, is it keeps a record for me. It’s fun to look back and see how my style has changed. {Click here and here to see the past two years. I almost didn’t include these links because I’m a little embarrassed at my photography skills. I thought you could have a look at how that has grown too. 🙂 }
After I had finished decorating the tree, I realized that the wall behind it was seriously lacking. I decided to move my old ladder and hang our stockings on it for some added interest.
And what’s a tree without presents? My oldest daughter got excited to see the presents under the tree, only to be disappointing that they were decoys. 😉
I hope you will visit some of my friends, as we Christmas Tree Hop around! Just click on the photos below.

Can I say I think it is awesomely vintage?! It is so pretty, from the vintage ornaments to the word garlands to the galvanized bucket to the ladder on the wall. Super pretty! I would love to have exactly that tree in my home!
Thanks so much for including me!
Take care, Laura

Your hubs and mine would hit it off. My hubs created a new word – instead of going antiquing, he says I go vintaging (although he used to say junking)!!
LOVE your tree – so fun and festive and of course I’m a sucker for vintage ornaments. And I’ve got the same galvanized tub holding my tree – love it with your decoy gifts.
And the ladder is the perfect touch – the icing on the gingerbread man in fact!
Glad to be hopping around the tree with you.
