When we talk about Easter, we generally focus on the act of Christ’s resurrection. And this is the most crucial part, but why is it so crucial? It is something that has changed our lives or can change our lives. “He died so we can live”. I’m sure you’ve heard that statement before, I know I’ve probably heard it a thousand times. But just recently it has had meaning.

The song I would like to share with you is called Hurt and Healer by Mercy Me. I don’t think it would necessarily be categorized as an Easter song, but that is what I thought the minute I heard it and I GOT IT. A line from the song says, “I’m alive, even though a part of me has died.” That’s why he did it.
Another says, “Where Glory meets my suffering.” He doesn’t say to take away your suffering completely, which we would like, but that he will meet us there and walk with us.

I find this song so encouraging and encompassing of the sacrifice Jesus gave and paid for us, so be can be ALIVE!
