This past weekend I took a trip to Texas for my brother’s wedding. I had a great time, but it was a very short visit! I left my house around 4 a.m. last Friday to send my husband and kids on a flight to the Bahamas and I headed out to Texas. {Don’t worry, I’ve joined them!}
The first stop after touch down is always straight to Papasito’s Mexican restaurant. I don’t get Tex-Mex very often since we’ve moved out of Texas, so it’s kind-of become a tradition.
Â
{Â Oh, my mouth is watering just writting this post!}
And while I’m on the subject of food, I though I would share my breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
Texas style waffles. 😉
 And Dickey’s Bar B-Que…YUM!!! I really miss Texas bar b-que too!! {I think I’m hungry!!}
 My brother’s new father-in-law owns a gun shop and shooting range, so Saturday I got to tag along to their “guys day.” Like I said…we were in Texas! :) Although, you’d think I would be comfortable around guns, growing up there. I am and was NOT! It was a lot of fun, though. And by the end I had finally started to get the hang of it, sort-of?
My new sister-in-law had asked me to make their unity candle for the wedding, but it wasn’t quite finished when I got there. I wasn’t sure of their exact colors so I wanted to make sure the ribbon matched. Since we were staying in a hotel, I didn’t have any scissors or tape, so I had to use my MacGyver skills to finish it!
Some body tape and Dad’s pocket knife…

 The wedding was beautiful and the setting was in the old downtown.  Lots of exposed brick and cool old venues.
 My other brother, Abel {the one who did the graphics for my blog}, took their engagement pictures. I love the one on the candy bar.
Their first dance..Â
 And they will live happiliy ever after…

After 3 hours of sleep, I headed back to the Houston airport for another early flight to the Bahamas. More on that trip when we get back! 😉
Have a great weekend.
