I mentioned the other day that I had made a sofa table for the living room, so today I wanted to show you what it started out as.
It was a beautiful, old ironing board. I cut off the curved end and made it into a skinny table. Super easy!
{If you are thinking, I’m crazy…SORRY, but I’m glad I did. Don’t get me wrong I was a little nervous that I was completely ruining the piece. I’m just happy it worked out as I was imagining it!}
I had originally thought I would sale it, but when I put in my living room to check the height, I fell in love with it.

The table looks great. I would have been afraid to cut it, but I think it works well for the space. Good idea.
Angela says
Donna, I almost didn’t cut it. Glad I did! 🙂

Wow such a clever idea. The skinny table adds a unique touch to the space behind your couch. It is amazing how a simple change can make a room feel bigger.

I’m thrilled with how this project turned out; it’s proof that sometimes all an old piece needs is a little love!
